    Success Stories
    Name: Muhammad Aslam
    R/O: Pasroor
Muhammad Aslam 55 years old has five children, four sons and a daughter lived in Labor Colony, Pasroor. He had a hard time managing his household expenses on the small salary earning by working as a security guard at Talon Sports Pvt Ltd. His salary is Rs 6500 and this money was not sufficient because he didn’t have any source of earning except the job, then he decided to take a loan. He obtained a small loan of Rs. 25,000 from Talon Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society and purchased a jewelry shop in Tehsil Bazaar, Sialkot. After consulting Talon Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society’s staff he applied for a micro credit to setup an artificial jewelry shop where he can earn fair wages and meet his family needs. He started his small business set up one month ago. Initially the number of customers was less but with the passage of time it has increased. Now Aslam and his two sons Asghar and Munawar are working in a shop and they are capable of earning enough money not only for the household expenses but also to contribute the studies expenses. While two of his sons Arsalan and Rizwan are studying in school. His current income is approximately Rs.12000 per month. He is satisfied with the policy of the society i.e. he will pay back within twenty months at equal installments without markup. And as a borrower he didn’t offer his property as collateral to get credit from Talon Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society. He is thankful to a non profit society that gives interest free loans to the poor and needy workers. The objective of the Talon Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society is to support and promote men and women of low-income families to develop micro enterprises and reduce poverty. Muhammad Aslam is of the example of it.
