Lost in thoughts of bright future of her five children Naseem Akther was busy in stitching shoes in courtyard of Stitching Centers. Naseem Akhter, a mother of five children and a wife of mentally disabled person, lives in a village called MOTTRA, District Sialkot.
While listening to her conversation one can observe strength of her character with a desire to fight with bitter realities of life rather than complaining bad fate. Telling about past she remember the days when her husband was working with State Bank of Pakistan and life was going well before start of mental illness of her husband which has eventually cornered him from his job and social life. Bank supported him financially for a while but withdrew this facility and he also lost his job due to increasing mental instability.
Naseem says that those days were the most difficult time of my life. We have no other means to meet our financial needs. At this time she took a bold step and decided to work for earning means for her family. Talon Center which was near to her house and known for healthy working environment and providing respectable way of earning, Naseem started working with this center as a Kungfu Shoe Stitcher.
Thanks to Talon Center now she can earn her livelihood by stitching shoes and bear the medical expenses of her husband.
Naseem dreams for a brighter future of her children and all of her children go to school and look committed to fulfill dreams of her mother .As time passes on her commitment and relationship with center is strengthening with every passing day |
