FAIRTRADE WORKERS WELFARE SOCIETY

INTRODUCTION

Talon Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society founded in 1998. Purpose of the Society is to establish a “Worker, Management Forum for Fair Trade” empowered to design, plan and execute the projects funded by premium. 

Since its establishment Joint Body has been executing the Micro credit and Health projects mainly for workers and their Family members. Recently Joint Body office has gone under major changes and re-opened in April, 2009 with new staff. The society has five members include Project Manager, Medical Officer, Nurse, Junior Assistant and Helper.

FLO DEDICATED CENTERS

There are following centers in vicinity of Sialkot set up by Talon Sports to produce the balls bearing FLO label/logo.

New staff hired in June 2009 to again start the operation of Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society.

PROJECT MANAGER

Salman Asif

Salman has completed his masters from Punjab University, Lahore. He joined Fair-Trade Workers Welfare society in Sept 2009 as a Project Manager.

His duty is to organize monthly JB meetings, compile the meetings minutes and project related reports, update the record of the premium, follow-up the society constitution, close liaison with the JB Members, maintain the ledger books and records, compile the monthly expense detail, organize emergency meetings on requirements and update the record of the loan program.

MEDICAL OFFICER

Dr. Tariq Bhatti

Dr Tariq Bhatti is an MBBS. He is working with Talon Fair Trade Workers Welfare Society as Medical Officer. Duty includes medical diagnose and advice, patient test or report evaluation, general or specific health information and visits at stitching centers.

STAFF NURSE

Naseem Sikander Hayat

Naseem is working as a Staff Nurse in Fair-Trade Society from Jun 2009. She is providing her services to the society and her duty is to assist the medical officer, provide the first aid to patients in absence of medical officer, maintain the daily patient register and keep the whole record.

Register contain the patient name, patient’s relation (wife, son, daughter etc), age, location, disease, medicine treatment.

MEDICAL FACILITATOR/ASSISTANT

Ahsanullah

Ahsan is Junior Assistant and a medical facilitator. His duty includes book keeping, assist to project manager, referring the patients to doctor, making receipts and purchase the medicines from medical stores.

STAFF HELPER

Muhammad Siddiq

Muhammad Siddiq is working as a helper. His duty is to arrange the files of Fair-Trade office, dusting of furniture, cleaning of medical equipments and provide the medicines to the workers with in the factory.
